Vincent Bandúr was studying art privately. Since 1985 to 1992 he was closely cooperating with ÚĽUV Bratislava (ÚĽUV stands for the association of Slovak folk artists). Within his first creative years he devoted himself mainly to oil painting, and later directed his interest towards wood and other natural materials (toys, jewellery, combs, hairslides, etc.) In present, he mainly carves wooden sculptures and relief compositions in wood, in which he displays scenes from traditional folk culture, as well as the scenes depicting the contemporary life. He lives and crafts in Považská Bystrica.
